Irony and the Oxymorons is a band on Roti & Jon Records comprising lead singer and guitarist Andrew James, keyboardist/bassist Martin Kelvin, and drummer David Azaari. Irony and the Semi-non-oxymorons was established in 2002 as a side-project of Andrew James and Martin Kelvin, who at the time formed the music group The Ambiguous Duo. In 2003 ISNO released two 7" singles - Bobby Horse, The Lanky Goose and Chain Gang Avocado, and toured with The Monochromatic Racoons. This caught the attention of a Roti & Jon representative, who ultimately provided a jump-start in their career by offering to release their debut As Magnets Attract From A Distance.
