THE RAZDA BERRIES

The Razda Berries are a 4-piece band that began in Brisbane at the beginning of 2005. The 2 founding members, Elliott and Audrey, met at the end of 2004 and decided to start a band. They found Jamie and Charlie on January 5, 2005, and the Razda Berries were formed that night.

Charlie came up with the name on January 17. They'd also been considering the name "Sneaker Flash!" but felt they'd then have to buy some really awesome sneakers. The pressure would become too much. They thought about the name, tossed it around a lot, and realized that it was perfect. During the 12 days they'd been a band, it seemed they were leaning towards an indie pop/rock sound, that was a little bit silly, a lot of fun, and ultimately fruity.

They had their first show on April 30 at Rics. They released their EP, "Cavity Times Three", on November 20 at an EP launch at the Troubadour.

And have been described by local street press, "Rave" as 'Swell!'
